Housing Tip of the Week: Assistance for Federal Workers
As you we know, the republican government shutdown is having a significant impact on federal workers and their families, not to mention the impacts across the nation. Many federal workers will soon be at risk of losing their homes or being evicted. Governor Moore announced a couple of weeks ago that the State has resources to help our federal workers, including $700 loans and pause in eviction or foreclosure for federal workers impacted. Mayor's Clean Up Saturday, October 25th
The Mayor's Clean Up is this Saturday, October 25th! On this day, neighborhoods and community groups organize and come together to clean up their community or work on a beautification project. Check in with your neighborhood association to join a clean up event on Saturday morning or take this time to clean up your home and block.

Housing Tip of the Week: Fire Prevention
Last week was fire prevention week but please ensure it is an everyday practice. A fire can happen at any time, but you can prevent it. Here are a few tips: Do not leave food that is cooking on the stove unattended. Check your smoke alarms regularly to ensure they are working. Three Hearings on Thursday, October 16th
On Thursday, October 16th, there will be three hearings on three spearate bills that I've introduced.
