Introduction of the Accessibility in City Programs, Services, and Activities Bill
This bill is a follow up to the Language Access bill that we passed at the end of last term. Recall that the bill requires each city agency to develop a language access plan for consumers, public meetings, and more. The Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs (MIMA) will coordinate and train each agency to fulfill the language access plans and ongoing implementation. Assist Businesses Impacted by Fire at The Castle
Last Monday, there was a fire at The Castle in Hampden. Thankfully, no one was hurt. This was one of five fires in my district in the last two weeks. The businesses are looking to reopen soon in new locations while the building gets renovated. Visit Amy Sherald's Exhibit at the Baltimore Museum of Art
We invite you to visit the Amy Sherald American Sublime exhibit at the Baltimore Museum of Art. It features artist Amy Sherald’s mid-career retrospective, which includes several paintings she made while living here in Baltimore. It also features the Michelle Obama portrait! Housing Tip of the Week: Fire Prevention
It is fire season and we want you to be safe. Make sure to use only outdoor lights when putting up your holiday decorations outside. Never leave food on the stove unattended. Check your electrical system, clean the lint screen in your dryer, and avoid using space heaters. Check your smoke alarms and call 311 if you need the Fire Department to install another one. Please check in on your vulnerable neighbors as well!

Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Meeting Tonight at the Enoch Pratt -Waverly Branch Library, 11/10/2025 !
CIP is a part of the city's budget that funds projects we use every day from our city owned buildings, our roads, and the investments in housing.
